Styrax ‘Fragrant Fountain’
Styrax = ‘Fragrant Fountain’
Styrax japonicus ‘Fragrant Fountain’ has pleasantly fragrant white flowers that cover the tight form from early spring through summer. Dense, weeping habit and moderate growth rate make this small tree ideal for small garden plantings. Deciduous dark green leaves turn gold in the fall before dropping off. Prefers partial sun and well-drained soils. ‘Fragrant Fountain’ offers significant improvements over existing weeping snowbells!
‘Fragrant Fountain’ maintains a central leader and is a vigorous grower. Also, this selection has tolerated temperature extremes ranging from 115 degrees to no damage from the early frost in Oregon in 2002.
